Family Access: Accelerated Instruction

Family Access is Required

Audience: Parents of Fort Bend ISD ninth grade students who will be retaking the STAAR-EOC test. Purpose: To walk parents/guardians through choosing where students will attend the summer acceleration instruction session and to select transportation options. Step 1:
A. Go to the Fort Bend ISD website at http://www.fortbendisd.com/ . B. Select Family Access from the left hand column of Quick Links.

C. Click the Login To Family Access button.

Step 2:
D. Parents, use your Family Access login ID and password issued by the home campus staff to sign in.

Step 3:
E. When a parent or guardian logs into family access, a link in the top left under Online Registration will be available to Register for 20xx-20xx (school year) If you have more than one student in your family, use the dropdown to select the student taking accelerated instruction this summer. Click the Register for 20xx- 20xx (school year) link in the upper left. Only parents that have a student retaking the STAAR-EOC this summer need to complete this process.

Step 4:
F. Click the large Start Registration button. G. If you have questions about the process, click the Online Registration Questions/Comments link to contact district personnel. Include parent/guardian name, student name, home campus and a phone number in your email.

Step 5:
H. Click the Accelerated Instruction Program button (step 1). This allows you to indicate the FBISD campus your student will attend for the accelerated instruction program. Select only one campus checkbox. You will also be able to request bus transportation to the campus. Click Save.

Step 6:
I. Click in the checkbox next to step1 to complete the process. A date and time stamp will display. (If needed, you can uncheck the box to repeat the step)

Step 7:
J. Click the large Complete registration button.

K. Click the Complete Online Registration button to complete the process. You will be returned to family access.

End Process.
