2. What five words encapsulate the values you want to communicate to potential clients?

3a. Describe your number one service or product. If youre in the start-up phase or between jobs, imagine a service or product you have sold in the past or might sell in the future.

3b. Using the service or product you just described, imagine that you have to justify the price to a customer. (The price itself doesnt matterits just how you describe the worth of your service or product!)

4. Make an elevator pitch: Imagine you meet someone new and they ask you casually about your business. What would you tell them about your work and your qualifications? You have only 30-60 seconds to do this so make it brief!

5. Think of your primary client group. What do they want? What do they need? Why are you the right provider for them?

6a. Imagine youre sitting in front of a panel of interviewers for a job or in the midst of a group of potential clients at a networking event. What story about yourself do you tell them to demonstrate your particular strengthsthe things that set you apart from otherwise similar candidates?

6b. Imagine youre sitting in front of the same panel of interviewers, and they ask you about your weaknesses. What are your weaknesses and how do you say describe them without making yourself sound unprofessional?

7. In what ways do you envision yourself or your company growing in the coming 5-10 years? Using the most detailed language possible, describe a picture of your future self/company.
