ETHICS

Ethics:- Ethics refers to the study of good and evil, right and wrong, and just and unjust actions of business people. Business ethics is the same as the generally accepted norms of good or bad practices. If dishonesty is immoral in society, than any business person practicing a dishonest act is treated as indulging 6/1/12

Sources of Business Ethics:

Religion :- Great religion preach the necessity for an orderly social system. Culture:- determines what is ethical and what is not. Cultural norms play important role in determining values. Law:- Obeying law is presumed to be ethical behavior.

Importance of Ethics:

Ethics correspond to basic human needs. Values create credibility with the public. Values give the management credibility with its employees. Values help better decision making. Ethics and Profit go together
