Allow me to take this opportunity to talk about how we use headphones in the computer lab in our school. Headphones are used by language teachers to allow learners to listen to stories from the story software installed on the computers. After listening to a story learners are given an exercise whereby they answer questions based on the story that they been listening on the computer. In addition to that headphones are also used to listen to PowerPoint presentations where teachers have recorded themselves presenting a particular lesson. The second hardware component which is highly used is the hard drive which learners use to store their saved work for teachers to access and mark.
