Features The UMFC is a mobile off-line filter unit with a fluid-control function which simplifies off-line filtration and reservoir filling. It is equipped with either the innovative Interpor Fleece (VG) or well-proven Watersorp (WVG) filter element. The UMFC provides accurate and timely information about the prevailing condition of a fluid between the pump and filter unit. This data includes continuous measurement of contamination classes (according to ISO 4406:99) and the percentage of water saturation in the oil. Data can easily be read on the monitor and can also be transferred to a standard PC using a RS-232 serial interface. The UMFC unit is designed to be programmed with desired contamination classes and/or water saturation levels. It can be run in three different operating modes, and will automatically shut off when set thresholds are reached for: contamination level, water saturation percentage, or both. A fourth, manual stop mode is also available. The unit is equipped with temperature control functions as well. The sensor of the CCT 01 particle counter set is switched off for its protection if the oil temperature rises above 122 F (50 C). At oil temperatures above 158 F (70 C), an automated shutoff of the system occurs to avoid wider damage. All system conditions are displayed using both lights and text on the LCD monitor.
