issued notification no. 5973 dated 16-03-2012 regarding filling arrangement for KPLP DG set. Following options shall be evaluated to solve the problem. However it should be kept in mind that for both options currently budget is not available in PAPCO account, execution of any option may require transfer of budget from other section/department or budget to be placed in next financial year. OPTION -01 The load observed on KPLP Emergency DG set during KESC failure is 56 Amperes on the other hand the maximum winter load noted on new 450 kVA Cummins DG set observed is 345 Amperes. Both load sums up to 401 Amperes, which makes 62 % of total capacity of DG set. Currently the KPLP DG set could be put onto Cummins DG set considering following: 1. Cable required 4 core 50 mm2 app 90 meter from MCC 3 building to KPLP Building including cost of laying and termination. Moreover the availability of spare breaker to be checked on bus-bar. 2. Route for cable. 3. This option can restrict putting other KPLP and KMK devices/equipment on both emergency bus-bar. 4. An energy meter should be installed to charge the electricity consumed by PAPCO (KPLP). OPTION 02 The fuel pipeline laid for new 450 kVA DG set has provision for installation of fuel line for KPLP DG set. With approximately 14 meter of 1 inch CS pipeline. A metering system is required to measure HSD consumed by PAPCO (KPLP).
