    Northbound Interface

    The QoS Manager provides northbound interface to integrate with the OSS of the users. Now, the QoS Manager provides northbound interfaces such as CORBA and SNMP which offer alarm, resources and network topology for the users. The details are listed below: Alarm Forwarding Northbound Interface Based on SNMP It has the following features: Setting forwarding IP address and port number as needed, supporting address forwarding to ten IP addresses at the same time. Supporting Trap and Inform forwarding modes of SNMP. Filtering the forwarded alarms according to the NE types. Interface information includes device name, device type, alarm type, alarm reason, level, time, and device IP. These fields can be reordered by configuration file, which makes the access to the third party NMS easy.

    Northbound Interface Based on CORBA It has the following functions: Providing alarm northbound interface. Providing flexible resource northbound interface to connect with the OSS easily. Providing topology northbound interface.
