Kim Fasching///AUP Assignment Wells Middle School Acceptable Use Policy Addendum to District Contract

As a student at Wells Middle School, I will follow the school rules and regulations regarding the use of any computer on campus. I understand that using any computer on campus is a privilege, not a right, and will accept the consequences if I fail to follow the rules. 1. I must have my ID card in order to use the computers for Internet time. It will be exchanged for headphones that I will use while online. Upon return of the headphones, my ID card will be returned. ID cards are not necessary when in the library with my class. 2. I will not waste our limited resources. Some examples of this are: I will cut and paste to word documents before printing, I will not leave battery-operated items running unattended, nor print out personal items. 3. Access to my home email account can only be done with permission from the librarian/teacher and only for educational items (assignments, papers, etc.) that have been emailed to that account by me or another student. 4. I may bring my own laptop but may not plug into the school network. I am allowed to charge my device at school. The free Riverside wi-fi is available on campus. I understand that the Acceptable Use policy and Addendum apply to my personal computer while it is on campus. 5. Tagging or inscribing on the computers will result in my computer privileges being revoked for the remainder of the year under all circumstances. I will immediately report any tagging or other vandalism that I see happening or that has already occurred. 6. I understand that some of the consequences of breaking these rules may include: payment of 5 cents/page of unauthorized printing, detention, ban from computer use for up to the remainder of the year, referral to the office , confiscation of personal electronic device

7. I release the school and school personnel from liability or damages that may result from failure to follow these rules.
