From: From cells of nasal mucosa to the Cribiform plate of ethmoid bone From ganglion cells of retina through optic foramen From midbrain through superior orbital fissure (SOF)

Function: Smell Vision Motor connects to the external muscle of the eye (4/6) (turns eyeball & lifts upper eye lid) Parasympathetic connects to the sphincter of pupil & ciliary muscle of lens (constricts pupil)

From midbrain through superior orbital fissure Assist in turning eyeball downward and laterally (SOF) Ophthalmic Sensory: from skin of anterior scalp, upper eyelid, nose, nasal mucosa, cornea, lacrimal gland Maxillary Sensory: from nasal mucosa, palate upper teeth, skin of cheek, upper lip, lower eyelid Mandibular: - Sensory from 2/3rd anterior of the tongue, lower teeth, skin of chin and temporal region - Motor to muscles of mastication Supply the lateral rectus Turns the eye laterally MotorSensory- areas behind the ear Motor- muscles of facial expression Sensory- controls taste from the anterior 2/3rd of the tongue Parasympathetic-
