In the southern areas of Thailand near the Andaman Sea, you

Khao Lak resorts are reasonably priced and much less expensive compared to other resorts. You will find a wide range of hotels in the vicinity that can suit your needs. The typical rate of accommodation is around 3 to 4 star, particularly in the Baan Khao Lak on the Nang Thong Beach and The Paradise located on Sunset Beach. For the best that money can get you there, you can visit the resorts on Khao Lak Beach, but for adventurers, you can try the beaches beyond that, such as the Bang Sak and Pakweeb beaches. The Khao Lak centre called the Bang La On, is less than a quarter of an hour away from the resorts via taxi or shuttle. There are bars, shops, banks including ATMs, and other facilities in the centre for your needs. Take a plane ride from Phuket or Krabi to get to Khao Lak. You can take a taxi from the Phuket airport which would cost you at most 1,600 baht. However, a cheaper option would be by bus for 100 baht, and one thats going to Ranong, Surat Thani, or Takua Pa can drop you off at Khao Lak. Besides the resorts, there are plenty of tourist attractions which you can also visit. For instance, you can visit the Chong Fah waterfall east of Bang Niang. You can also try the Lampi Waterfall with its picturesque sunrise view.

Another must visit is the Takuapa Old Town which is less than an hours ride from Khao Lak. Be captivated by the SinoPortuguese architecture and enjoy visiting the local shops and restaurants, particularly at dawn. Naturally, you would have to visit the Khao Lak Lam Ru National Park. For jungle trekking or elephant riding, you can check out the Khao Sok National Park.
