Used in preparation for xray examination (stomach, intestine, gallbladder, kidney) and before gastroscopy.

Simethicone, a substance with surface action, causes the gas bubbles covered with mucus in the stomach and intestine to collapse. This brings rapid and noticeable relief of symptoms with commonly sensation of pressure, tension and fullness in the epigastrium, eructations, flatus, pain, intestinal spasm and removes the gas causing the flatulence. Dimethylpolysilox ane is not absorbed in the stomach and intestine, thus has no harmful effect on the organism.

-Instruct patient that changing position frequently will help pass flatus.
