What is tanabata festival?

Tanabata or the star festival which celebrated on july 7th. On that night prince kengyu and princess shojuko meet every one year.

History of tanabata
The legend is based on tale about princess shokujo and prince kengyu were fall in love and married. But because she to happy life with her husband prince kengyu, she forgets her duty to weave cloth for many gods.

So her father get mad, punish and condemned them to sparated by the river or milky way, and only allowing them to meet one night every year as a star cross.

People write wishes, love poem on pieces of paper or wood and hang them from bamboo Sing a tanabata song
