TEAM SPIRIT AND HOW TO BE A BETTER TEAM MATE

There is no doubt about the present pathetic situation of break up of human link is due to the lack of team spirit, especially in Sri Lanka. We are divided as Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims in race, divided as Buddhists, Catholics, Hindus, Muslims in religion, divided as the rich and the poor base on wealth, divided as low and high based on caste, divided as dark and fair based on skin colour, divided as high rankers and low rankers based on title, divided as upper class, middle class and lower class based on social status, divided as leftists and rightists based on political parties and it could just go on forever. Team spirit has to be started individually and a collection of individually team spirited people only make a better team. In Sri Lanka, there are many sport teams, but time to time we come across with news of conflict between team members, even in National level of course. It is not to say that there are no teams that play as real teams. There are, but not very many! What's up? What goes wrong? Politics? Yes, it has been playing a major role in every aspect of relationship since 1500's. The foreign invaders have spread the virus of dividing for it helped them to capture our country and ruling the divided was much easier. But whatever made us divided, it is high time for us to get back together and army ourselves to fight back to gain the true development. [Not the definition given by the UN or any other European or American organization!] The true definition on true development was first expressed by Lrd Buddha 2500+ years ago. Although the Indians have ignored the teachings of Buddha, Sri Lankans were educated enough to understand the facts that were taught by Lord Buddha.
