ABSTRACT

By this article I propose defining elements pointing to the construction of models to determine assessment methods remediation. Theese elements will be refined through deep approach in the entire contents of doctoral work. Emphasis is placed on specific mathematical models invoice which, by their informational content (both qualitative and quantitative), are proving to be the best description for investigating the quality in construction engineering. By the concept of system I mean a physical object (a collection of physical objects interacting) whose properties we intend to study. A number of theese properties can be investigated through experiments conducted on systems, this study characterizing the manner, over time, of the development of science in general. There are however some limitations to strictly empirical knowledge (based only on the organization and conduct of experiments). It is sufficient to create an image, telling us the limitations of purely empirical knowledge. In general, experiments are impossible on some systems, due to the fact that they dont yet exist, being only in the planning stages and requiring analysis of properties. In all cases mentioned above, the empirical knowledge isnt able to investigate the properties of a system, but on a model of it. Generally speaking, a system model allows us to answer questions about the real systems behavior without having to perform experiments. The most common type of model is the physical model, the model that aims to reduce to a certain scale all the characteristics of a given system (for example the model of a building, of a vehicle etc.). Developed in time, the physical-technical sciences are based on mathematical models and mathematical relationships expressed in links between different sizes or quantities that reveal the operation mode of the system (for example, certain areas studied by the laws of physics ).
