Under sterile, aseptic conditions draw 3-4cc of peripheral blood in lithium/sodium heparin or green top tube. 2. Store the sample at room temperature and transport within 24 hours. Do not add ice or freeze the samples. 3. Clotted samples, serum and plasma are not suitable for this test and should not be sent to lab. 4. Complete clinical history along with Physicians prescription slip should be attached with the requisition slip.
