Test Corrections- Unit 7 Test 8. True is wrong because the conjugate acid of a weak base is not a strong acid. False is correct because the stronger the conjugate acid, the weaker the base. I will remember this by; stronger matches well with weaker to even out because two strong things do not create something equal. 14. E is incorrect if you do the equation process correctly. (poh= 14-13. OH=10^-1 which =0.1) the answer is there. D is correct because after plugging in the numbers to the equations you get 0.10 mol. I will remember this by doing my calculations slower and looking at all the possible answers before jumping to conclusions. 15. A is incorrect because there are many facts about buffered solutions, not just about its H+. E is correct because a buffered solution is all about resisting change and reacting weak with strong. I will remember this by; something weak will always need something strong to help it, no matter what situation, sort of. 20k. Increase is incorrect because with more temperature less k is needed. Decrease is correct because as there is more temperature there needs to be less energy to reach equilibrium. I will remember this by when it is hotter (more temperature), you want to move around less (less energy). 21K. Decrease is incorrect because when something loses temperature, you need more energy to help it reach equilibrium Increase is correct because more energy can level out the decrease in temperature. I will remember this by, when youre cold you want to move around more (use more energy).
