In medicine, the most important factor is the patient.

They are the source of labor, and their wellbeing is the end. However, no two patients are the same, and being able to experience the challenges of working with people from different social and cultural backgrounds will definitely be a positive learning experience. NYUs reputation for hands-on learning also matches my preferred method of attaining knowledge. I learned a lot from working the surgical ward during the summer, but more importantly, I enjoyed learning. During my time at the hospital over the course of a full year, I became fully immersed in the world of medicine. I hope to be able to learn even more about the ever-changing field in New York, where some of the best hospitals and clinics are located.
