    STATEMENT BY ROY D. BRIDGES JR. ON THE NASA TRANSFORMATION

    "NASA's Vision for Space Exploration, mandated by the President in January, provides a
    clear focus for the Agency. The NASA Administrator today announced a transformation to
    reshape the Agency to implement the goal. The transformation will allow us to focus on
    the mission, how NASA employees will work as a team, and how each individual will play
    a vital role in attaining the Vision.

    "Langley Research Center fully supports the transformation and is already working to
    align the Center to meet this exciting mission. We will continue to focus our considerable
    educational efforts on preparing future employees to participate with us in this exciting
    journey. We will also participate with the Agency in exploring alternative management
    models for the Center to ensure that Langley is an important contributor to the success of
    the Vision."
