July 2012
Fourth of July celebrations are often rolled out in grand fashion to celebrate Americas freedom. Many times there is a local symphony that performs. Each instrument is fine-tuned for their unique purpose and moment in time to play. The performers are musicians who show exceptional ability and technique, striving to be perfect in their performance. Our lives are like that symphony. We all have a specific part to play, with specific gifts and talents. When we allow ourselves to be used to help others, the beauty of our lives explodes in vibrant color and song like a 4th of July celebration. For the lives we touch freedom and hope is given. Your part in the Real Life Center allows us to reach out to the hurting, offering freedom from hopelessness and stress. This happens because they have the opportunity to know that someone cares. Financial assistance, clothes, food, bread and vegetables are a big part of it, but offering hope is an incredible gift. There are many different roles from driving to pick up peaches, picking vegetables, working in the orchard, organizing fundraisers, sorting clothes, working at the Real Life Store, or giving generously that many of you play. It is all of us taking a part to make up that beautiful song orchestrated perfectly to help our neighbor. Together.
I cant begin to say how thankful I am for all the help Ive received through the many hands from the Center. Thank you and God blessTE
