ENGGANTUNGAN PELAKSANAAN PEKELILING SURUHANJAYA PERKHIDMATAN PELAJARAN BILANGAN 1 TAHUN 2010

Suruhanjaya dalam mesyuaratnya pada 28 Mei 2012 telah bersetuju untuk menggantung pelaksanaan Pekeliling Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Pelajaran Bilangan 1 Tahun 2010 yang bertajuk "Tarikh Pelantikan Tetap Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pendidikan Lepasan Diploma Yang Lulus Ijazah Sarjana Muda Melalui Program Pengajian Jarak Jauh" . Penggantungan pelaksanaan pekeliling ini adalah disebabkan masalah ketiadaan kekosongan jawatan bagi pelantikan ke jawatan Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pendidikan Siswazah Gred DG41. Penggantungan ini berkuat kuasa serta merta sehingga isu kekosongan jawatan berkenaan dapat ditangani.

This programme requires candidates to complete 40 units. The curriculum is divided into two components:

Coursework (32 units) Research (8 units)

Courses Offered The Coursework Component Three types of courses are offered: Research Methodology and Statistics(8 units) Candidates have to take two compulsory courses in order to master educational research and statistical analysis skills. Knowledge Development (8-16 units) Candidates have to select 2-4 knowledge development courses. These courses are intended to extend the candidates' knowledge of education beyond their areas of specialisation.

The Research Component Each candidate is required to conduct a mini research project or practicum (Guidance and Counselling candidates only) that carries a weightage of 8 units in his/her area of specialisation.

Admission Requirements Applicants should possess the following:

A Bachelors degree with Honours or equivalent. Teaching qualifications and / or professional experience in the field of education. Fulfil other requirements determined by the individual areas or specialisation.

Duration Full-time: Min 2 semesters / Max 4 semesters

Part-time: Min 4 semesters / Max 8 semesters
