    Resolved: That, by 2040, the federal government should mandate that


    all new passenger vehicles and light trucks sold in the United States be
    powered by alternative fuels.

    A switch to alternative fuels should be made in less than 40 yrs.


    Technology is already present, only thing inherently blocking this is the current
    governmental policies preventing any sort of commercialized widespread interest in it. If
    our government were to put a more heavy emphasis on the production, implementation or
    even the commercial interest, then we would be in an undoubtedly more efficient society
    with a much healthier community and economy. Currently
