SIDBI is an Apex Development Institution for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).The MSME sector has huge growth potential. Also the sector /entrepreneurs /lenders etc. face a number of challenges. SIDBI has been addressing some of the challenges and providing appropriate solutions. It now proposes to provide credit facilitation, debt counseling etc. services to MSMEs. In this regard, we propose to engage the services of suitable retired bankers to work as our Knowledge Partners (KPs), on contract basis, at various SIDBI centres indicated in Annexure. Requirements: KPs should be energetic retired bankers (preferably Scale II to Scale IV) with atleast 10 yrs. experience in credit delivery, credit management, etc. and good banking track record. Age of applicant should not be more than 62 years as on 1.7.2012 Job profile: KPs are expected to guide new / existing entrepreneurs regarding availability of schemes of SIDBI / commercial banks, Government subsidies /benefits, provide borrowers with debt counseling, answering queries raised by banks etc., Also similar support would be required in the area of rehabilitation of viable units / capacity building of bankers etc. The KPs should be willing to travel in a couple of local industrial clusters (within radius of approx 10 to 30 kms.). KPs would visit each these clusters once a week and would meet entrepreneurs etc at the office of concerned industry association. Compensation: Would be upto Rs.25000/- p.m., based on place / experience, plus conveyance / telephone charges etc. upto Rs.6000/-. The contract would be for a period of 1 year initially which could be extended with mutual consent. Others: i) The assignment is suitable for applicants who wish to use their skills/time for the benefit of society and also derive job satisfaction ii) suitable orientation on /skill inputs would be provided to KPs iii) KPs are expected to be available to the bank for around 20-25 hrs per week.
