1. Brief Introduction of the Topic


1.1 Title of the Study: Recruitment & Selection process of Robi Axiata Ltd 1.2 Profile of the organization: Robi Axiata Limited is a dynamic and leading countrywide
GSM communication solution provider. It is a joint venture company between Axiata Group Berhad, Malaysia and NTT DOCOMO INC, Japan. Robi Axiata Limited, formerly known as Telekom Malaysia International (Bangladesh), commenced its operation in 1997 under the brand name Aktel among the pioneer GSM mobile telecommunications service providers in Bangladesh. Later, on 28th March, 2010 the company started its new journey with the brand name Robi. Robi is truly a people-oriented brand of Bangladesh. Robi, the people's champion, is there for the people of Bangladesh, where they want and the way they want. Having the local tradition at its core Robi marches ahead with innovation and creativity. 1.3 Rational of the Study: Robi Axiata Ltd is one of the leading telecom service provider in
Bangladesh. Their successful business operation continues from last few years. As a student of AIUB I know that most of the job seekers wants to join with the winning team of Robi Axiata Ltd. But unfortunately most of the students of AIUB are not very much familiar with the Recruitment & selection process of Robi Axiata Ltd. Hope that this study will lead me to explore the exact scenario of Recruitment & selection process of Robi Axiata Ltd and this will also help our faculty of business administration to provide more practical scenario of Recruitment & selection process to instruct their students of AIUB.

2. Statement of the problems: Recruitment and Selection process is a key concern of all
over the world. Because employees are going to achieve the goals for the business. Although Robi Axiata Ltd has their own process of hiring people for their organization despite of that I will try to find out answer; are they meeting the standard way of Recruiting and selecting employees what we learned from our text. If not what can be done for meeting the standard way of Recruiting & selecting employees.

3. Scope and delimitation of the Study: In my Internship research report I will cover the
Recruitment and selection process of Robi Axiata Ltd. Just because of time constrain and confidentiality matter of Robis management personnel may be I will not be able to prepare the full process of Recruitment and selection despite of that I will try my best to make my research report a meaningful one. For data collection purpose I will use both the primary and secondary sources.

4. Objectives of the Study:


Broad Objective: An overview on Robi Axiata limited for exploring their recruitment and selection process. Specific Objectives: 1. To know the major elements of Recruitment and Selection process. 2. To focus on the process of Recruiting and selecting personals. 3. To explore the modern and the batter methods of Recruiting and Selecting employees.

5. Methodology of the Study:


Primary sources: The primary information will be collected through face to face interview, observation, and by participation in the recruitment and selection process. Secondary sources: The secondary information I will collect from website, Magazine, Memorandum, Journals, books and some other relevant sources. Both primary and secondary data sources will be use to generate this report. Primary data sources will be scheduled survey, informal discussion with professionals and my personal observation. The secondary data sources are different published reports, manuals, price updates and different publications of Robi Axiata Ltd. 2

6. Timeline of the Activities: For conducting the internship research report my timeline of
activities will be like this:

Information and data collection from primary sources: 20th February - 5th March 2012. Information and data collection from secondary sources: 6th March - 20th March 2012. Organizing and editing first draft: 25th March - 30th March 2012. Submission of first Draft: 1st April- 5th April 2012. Reviewing and editing (if necessary) the research report: 10th April-14th April 2012. Submission of the final report: 15th April- 19th April 2012.
