The Walls of Destiny

Alright! Who sent you?, asked the Chief Officer. Probably your mother. I'm not really sure., replied Mace. Without hesitation, the Chief Officer shoved his military steel-padded boot deep into Mace's stomach. He painfully laughed. YOU THINK THIS IS A JOKE? DO YOU, YOU FILTHY TURNCOAT?, screamed the Officer in Mace's face. I will ask you this only one more time. If I am not statisfied with the answer, you will be punished accordingly to the Federal Law towards Outlaws. How did you get here?, continiued the Officer. Well, you see, I was riding to the nearest city to find rest. Then I got lost in the way and somehow ended in this dump, with you baboons., said Mace, this time giggling for himself. The Officer took him by his shirts' collar and fiercely punched him in the face. Mace had a small stream of blood running down from his nose. He was now on the floor in the corner of the room. Underneath him, he felt something pointy. He realised that he was lying on some broken glass. The Chief Officer was now slowly walking towards him, this time having a bat in his hands. Alright, hotshot. You have one more chance. Why are you here?, said the Officer slowly patting the bat from hand to hand. Well..., continiued Mace, now discretely cutting the ropes on his knuckles on the glass below him, I already told you. I GOT LOST!, and with the rope snapping, Mace quickly jumped up on his legs, slipped away behind the Chief Officer and grasped around his neck. The Officer tried to hit him with the bat, but Mace just grabbed it in mid-air and snapped the Officers wrist. He screamed in anguish. Not so tough, are ya', officer?, said Mace. The guards around him had their guns sighted down at Mace. But luckily enough, Mace found the Chief Officer's knife and slid it under his throar so he could feel the cold steel nearly cutting his middleaged skin. Throw your weapons, or your boss goes bye-bye!, shouted Mace. Guards stood still. Mace pushed harder against the Officer's throat, but this time he could feel the area around the cold steel getting warmer. Mace kept on pressing until the Officer's throat was now covered in blood. DO IT! THROW THE GUNS AWAY, GOD DAMMIT!, screamed the Officer, now notably scared for his life. The guards hesitated a bit, but then they put their guns on the floor and backed a few steps away from them. Good., said Mace with an evil grin on his face. And a moment later, after Mace's rapid hand movement, the Chief Officer was now laying down on the floor gargling, and his throat was gushing with blood like a lawn sprinkler. The guards, now horrified with the scene tried to grab their guns, but Mace was faster than them. He jumped infront of him and slammed his open fist in the floor. The shockwave produced from the slam threw the guards in the air. Mace rushed and slided towards the lying guns. He quickly grabbed two of the Berretas' and aimed down the sights at the guards. He shot eleven times. Everybody in the room now was lying dead on the floor, with blood sprayed

everywhere. Mace got up. He heard some racket amongst the bodies. He went in to see a wounded guard struggling to get a gun that was not far from him. Mace picked him up. Where are your servers?, he quickly asked. Screw you!, the guard replied and spat on Mace's face. Mace wiped off the blood mixed with saliva off his face and asked the guard one more time. Where are the servers?. I will not tell you., said the guard through blood. Ok then. I'll just kill you then., said Mace and stucked his gun underneath the guard's chin. Wait!, screamed the guard. I changed my mind. I'll tell you.. Go ahead then. Said Mace. Behind these doors, there is a padlock. Open it and enter the passcode 0-2-F-6-6. Behind those doors you will find all the servers., said the guard, now a bit calmer knowing that he might survive. I thank you for your assistance., said Mace, and just as he turned away to go, he raised his gun and shot the guard's head. He went towards the mentioned padlock, and entered the passcode. The door hidden in the wall opened. The halogenic lights automatically turned on. Inside, there was a bigger room, filled with tall servers and in the center of it, a giant computer. Mace smiled. Bingo!, he said smugly. On his left side he saw his gear. His armor, his mask, his guns, his bag and his sword. He geared up and took a small disk from his bag. He went to the computer and connected the disk with the interface. After a few minutes of typing, the big screen was showing a 'Downloading data' message. The download finished. Mace picked up his things and went outside. Out there was a beastly-looking motorbike. Hi, Berhta! Missed me., said Mace sitting on it. He then started the engine and took the old forest road to the City of Thylae. After a few meters, a giant fireball lit up the peaceful night sky. The house where Mace was exploded. I am a mercenary. An assassin. The Deathbringer. I watch over the lives of the innocent by eliminating the guilty ones. I am known as...The Watcher., thought Mace for himself and speeded up on his bike. He drove off in the night.
