The staff here are amazing, so busy, yet smiles and so willing to help. In my time, I have been a member of Mornington, Northcote, St Kilda and others. This library is outstanding for staff service and general ambience love it. Thank you I give many thanks to Frankston Library for their generous help here. Thank you Very, very happy with this library and service always very helpful. Great customer service, love the range, doing great guys! Thank you to a number of staff, for your manners, great help to me, also where to park. A senior with limited Library smarts. Just wanted to say I enjoyed the guitar playing, it was quite relaxing. Very happy with the service offered in the Frankston Library, staff member went out of her way to try and find a book which best suited my needs. Thank you very much. We love the library. A big Thank You to a staff member who made a special effort to find a novel at short notice for my daughters English class topped off an ordinary day. The staff are very helpful, friendly and polite. Thanks to everyone for their help with finding DVDs at different libraries and giving me great direction to get to Carrum Downs. From Queensland and confused. You are nice to your customers We love coming to the library with our grandchildren. You have a wonderful array of books to borrow. Need a family clean toilet. People are disgusting and its not fair for little kids. Needs more new music and could play music as well I would like to see music from the 70s, 80s & 90s plus DS games.

The kitchen looks good. What about a playroom for age groups? 20/30 years, 40/50 years, 60/70 years, 80/100 years We want pirate lounge

Our Response
Thanks for your feedback. The Long Room and Community Room are available for hire or use when empty by all age groups. Whilst we cannot provide a pirate lounge, you can use the pirate language option when borrowing through the self-serve checkouts! Unfortunately the library cannot accommodate a pool; however clearance of the site for the construction of the Frankston Regional Aquatic Health and Wellbeing Centre at Samuel Sherlock Reserve has begun! We will be hosting some events for Childrens Book Week and we encourage you to keep tabs of our website events page for any future Speaker Nights.

Maybe get a pool

Please have more speaker nights. I have been to some excellent speaker nights at the library, but you havent had one for ages. The Display of poetry outside is a nice idea but the method the library chose to display is inadequate. It does a disservice to the words. Poems should be treated with respect, consequently the display should be protected from the elements. Why not use display panels inside. Use at least Perspex pockets outside (if you must display outside) so that things do not start to peel and look horrible. A constructive suggestion. You are making the space outside look busy and ugly and one cannot enjoy the words. The posters on the outside of the library are a disgrace!! They are not clever, intellectual or intelligent they deface the building and should be removed.

The inaugural Poetry Bombing, organized by Peninsula Poets and supported by Frankston Council, Frankston City Libraries and several Frankston small businesses, was always planned as a temporary display of poems, contributed by local residents keen to promote poetry to the greater community. We received greater participation than first expected and were pleased with the amount of contributions made! Poems were gradually removed - as soon as they became shabby - and we have taken on board your feedback should there be another poetry-bombing event held in the future.

Would you please consider classifying Jorge Luis Thank you for your feedback. This title was part Borges Labyrinth and other stories a book of of the White Street project. It has now been fiction under fiction and not under reference? Its made available for loan. a book of short stories by Penguin and should be in the shelves and available to be borrowed. What happened to the library. All A Z on the end of the adult literature has vanished. It takes forever to find the book you want. Not very satisfactory Need some more Wii books Would it be possible to obtain a copy of the 1980s film called Diva please Thank you for your feedback. We are currently in the process of making new signs and should have them back up shortly. We apologise for any inconvenience Thank you for your suggestion Please see our Information staff to request a copy of this title for you.

Please may we have some quilting magazines in the library? Re book A foreign country Charles Cumming. This is a must read for spy book addicts. Very gripping from start to finish Please get some way better music like One direction and Taylor Swift. Thanks.

Our Response
Thank you for your suggestion. The library holds Australian patchwork & quilting magazine at Carrum Downs Library. Please see Information staff to reserve a copy for you. Thanks for the recommendation! We are glad you enjoyed the read and hope you find many more in our library. Thank you for your feedback. The library holds copies of CDs by One Direction and Taylor Swift. Please see our Information staff to reserve a copy for you. We receive popular titles on standing order and have collections librarians who select books and CDs. We also get a lot of great requests from our customers. Thank you for your feedback. The library recently purchased the complete set of the Fitzroy readers. They are in our Begin to Read and Early Reader collections and are available at both Frankston and Carrum Downs Libraries. Thank you for your suggestion. Please see Information staff if you would like to request a particular title.

Who chooses what CDs and books are bought?

Fitzroy readers are fantastic! Wed love to see the whole series in the library!

I was wondering if you could get any Christopher Brookmyre Audio books. I think my blind father might like some of them. E.g. Be my enemy. Thanks I love this library! Great job! CDs: Could have a compilations section so that I can find my nineties genre music more easily. There is a soundtracks section, compilations could hold the Dance now series etc. Please cancel the Culture classification! It is far too confusing. I found a new age Diana Cooper book next to a book on How to Draw Dragons which should be in the Art and Craft section. This week I found a book on How to Breed & Raise Dragons in the non-fiction section! Please update or consider updating to a modern era and have a scanner with computer.

Thank you for your great feedback and for your suggestion.

Thank you for your feed back - it has raised an interesting discussion amongst the librarians; we will be reviewing the classifications over the next couple of months. The public photocopiers are currently being reviewed - this includes looking at making scanning and faxing available from the public computers Thank you for your feedback, the shelves have been renumbered. We are looking into ways to add another catalogue in the fact books area but unfortunately wiring for data and power is proving difficult to install in that area. We plan to add more computers to the public fleet this financial year.

Put a search catalogue facility in the fact books and number the shelves.

More computers

Please ensure you check the CDs and DVDs upon return, twice I have borrowed and was minus a DVD. A book I had returned was showing as being borrowed by me lucky I saw it on the shelf I am receiving overdue notices for items after 7 days when the book was due. This means that I am already accruing a fine. IS it possible to send out an overdue notice a day before the book is due, this way I will be able to return them promptly instead of paying fines on late items. I am receiving these notices via email and they are being directed to junk mail. Look forward to your response.

Our Response
Im sorry we missed your item, most days we return between 4000 6000 items and occasionally they are not returned correctly, if this happens please see a staff member for assistance Email notices are sent 2 days before an item is due and again 7 days after the due date. They may be being missed because they are directed to your Junk mail folder. If you mark our emails as not spam the email filter will be more likely to send future emails to your inbox.
