Dr Randeep Wadhawan is an acclaimed surgeon of national & international repute with a vast experience of more than 18,000 cases in the field of Advanced Laparoscopic surgery, Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Oncology and Bariatric Surgery.

As Head of Department Surgery, he is running a dedicated and successful Obesity and Bariatric surgery programme. The department is doing on an average 100 bariatric procedures a year, with procedures being done routinely are Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding (LAGB) , Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, Laparoscopic Gastric bypass.

His areas of practice and expertise include: Laproscopic Gastrointestinal surgeries including malignancies. Laparoscopic Bariatric surgeries Laparoscopic procedures for Paediatric patients Laparoscopic Urology Staplers Robotic surgeries for GI surgeries & malignancies (with the Latest Generation 4 arm Da Vinci) Single incision Laparoscopic surgeries (SILS)

CLINICAL FOCUS: Dr. Wadhawan has organized live operative workshops, conferences & CME programmes and has been invited as Operative Faculty at various conferences to demonstrate Advanced Laparoscopic procedures including Laparoscopic Bariatric procedures. The Department is running a certified course in Advanced Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery to train and teach surgeons from various parts of India and abroad. He is also the national faculty with the Johnson and Johnson Ethicon Endosurgery Institute of Surgical Education (EISE) for Bariatric surgery, Endohernia, MIPH (Minimally Invasive Procedure for Haemorrhoids), Laparoscopic solid organs program to train and teach surgeons from all over the country. Workshops Attended: Advanced workshop in MIPH (Minimally Invasive Procedure in Hemorrhoids) at the Tung Wah Hospital, Hong Kong August 2007 Advanced Colo rectal workshop in MIPH & STARR procedures in Rome, Italy June 2008 Workshop in STARR and other Transanal Colorectal surgeries in Vienna, Austria Sept 2009 He has been certified by the ECS (European Coloproctology Society) to perform STARR and other advanced transanal surgeries.
