Today was a Fairytale

By Assette Patrice V. del Rio For over a century, Ryuuki lived in secret. He is a fairy entity with superb quality of appeal, charm and handsomeness. He plays violin well and has a melodic voice that is compatible for being a fairy musician.

One midnight, Hikari is still typing her report in laptop to submit the files tomorrow. Being persistent to finish it, she listens to her preferred songs and makes a hot coffee to awaken her body system and mind to focus her attention over typing. All of the sudden, she heard an angelic voice outside her room. She was so touched with song and she felt the wind pushes her to follow the sound. She came out to her room just to find the voice. Then, her feet brought herself to the place where she heard the voice of the guy whole heartedly singing while playing the violin. She saw the guy seating beside the tree, she then move little by little to visualize the entirety of the guy and asked him, Why are you here at this moment? but the guy didnt reply besides he continued playing violin. Still she asked him though she was stammering to speakW-who are you? W-where you from? the guy stand firmly and stop playing the violin then he left without saying anything to the girl. She was confused about the guy and calls his attention Hey! Hey! Where are you going? Wait for me! Youre not answering my questions are you deaf!? but the guy didnt show up. She wanted to follow him but her left brain told her not come forward because the place is too dark and the wolves are quite near and groaned. She was so scared and wished to come back inside her house. Afterwards, she was still wondering what happened a while ago but she tends to forgot it and claims to continue doing her report when she notice that it was fully finished. She cant believe to whats going on around. Then, she turns around if someone enters in her room and did it for her sakes. She realized nothing aside from commotions. She fell asleep with sweet dreams.

One beautiful morning came; the weather was fine when she went to the school. She was confident walking in the aisle and suddenly bumped a charm-looking guy. In one blink of an eye, thought bubbles appeared and she described him He is so lovable, gorgeous, suave and uppity. In short, boyfriend materials my typeoops, my ideal man. She was daydreaming as early in the morning when she notice her files flew and fell down on the floor. The two were shocked and hastened to pick up the papers neglecting that they touched their hands. They stared to each other as if they are the only human existing in the world. The two were fantasized the same scenario as the king and queen in their hearts. Suddenly, the students shout out because they saw the kilig-moment thats normally happens in teenage life. Other students said, Uuuuuuyyyyyyy! the two make up their minds, they felt embarrassed. They started to stand and clear their throats. The guy left without saying sorry or anything while the girl was still blunt. Her friend Aya pulls her to awaken her and said, Hey, Hikari! What happened? Hikari smirked while her friend is asking, her mind is still thinking about the guy and talk to herself Im confused about himbut I know I saw already thatspark-ling eyes. Wait! Oh! What the? Ahhforget about that thingy! Hikari and Aya enter the room when their classmates talks about the guy, You know whatthe GUY a while ago is very handsome and he is also known as the superstar in this campus! And wait theres more I know his name Ryuuki The other girls seem to agree and flirt with different imaginations while the other chismosa whispered to talk about Ryuuki and said, You know what? Hikari was so lucky because she met our PRINCE CHARMING but they were bitter in saying that. Afterwards, teacher Nodame came in and started to discuss her lesson and followed by the report of Hikari. She was determined to report her assigned topic and successfully delivered it to the class she was an honored students in elementary, high school and up until now thats why her classmates admired her. Despite the things happened last night, she had an inspiration but she was totally clueless knowing who this savior behind her back is.

It was already 6:00 pm when she is about to go home but she suddenly heard again the sound of an angelic voice. She looks everywhere when she found out the silhouette of a guy near the bench on the park. She recognized the sound and said, Its familiar. I heard it last night if Im not mistaken being curious she comes forward to find who owns the voice. When she was finally near to the sound, she was the guy but the guy disappeared. She was curious and asked herself where is he? pointing her finger to the place the guy occupied. She continued, I saw him already and suddenlyshe didnt continue what shes going to say because the mysterious guy appeared behind her and clear his throat implying he was there at the back. She was so shocked that her heart beat beats so fast and said, Oh my goodness! You scared me to death. Wait a minute. Youyoure the guy Ive met, right? And bumped methats why myshe stammered saying these and didnt continue her speech because the guy leaves her. She said to herself, Again!?Rejected! she felt embarrassed for how many times for this day and said, Thats annoying in my parthmmmthat guy! Youll see my oh no! Whats that sound...hello? Hello? When she walks, she saw a black cat and she heard someone whispering calling her attention. She ignored it and continued walking alone. Im not insane; Im not taking any drugs! Come on, its a big nothing! she talked to herself to release her fear. When she knew someone is looking for her and follows her, goose bumps. She was always and forever alone because her parents died in plane crash and no one of her relatives adopted her. She hadnt a family to miss for aside from her friend and classmates. She ate alone, living alone but she provided anything for herself because she always receives a pension of her parents. Shes very independent individual and a very lonely damsel.

Another night came, when shes about to review her notes because there will be an exam for tomorrow. But she felt sleepy and tired that she cant make a glimpse in her notes. Suddenly, she heard again the sound of

the magical violin. She stared on the window and looked around to see whos playing it. She felt her mind was kinda relax that she could do reviewing now but the sound arouse her to come down. At first, she met again the guy, she was stupefied because she was blinded by too much light that was exposed to the face of the guy, she was stocked to the adorable eyes and to the overall appeal of him is somewhat like a fairy as she described in her mind. The guy was upset and he stared to the girl as he could eat the girl but when she looks in the entire eyes of the girl he came to realized that he loves the girl and begun to amaze again. In the past, he always looks behind the girl and secretly protects her and falls for her. But he had an alter ego when he faced the girl. Suddenly, the girl talked, hey! Please talk to me. I want to know you. she said these in a low voice that was full of sincerity. The guy planned to leave again the girl but the girl grabbed his hands. He felt something that he is sure about which love and Hikari asked, May I know your name? I want to be your friend because youre always alone here, right? Though, Im not certain and the guy smirked and replied, Friend!? I cant! Thats no way! Understood! Just leave me alone! deep inside his mind he didnt want to say all that fuss because hes hurting himself too. Hikari then ignored what the guy said because she was focused to hear his voiceand its true, his voice is so charming and sweet. She remembered one the same thing about the guy in her campus having the same aura and voice. She then asked, So, you are Ryuuki, right? Well Ive heard your name when my classmates talked about you. Ryuuki felt uneasy because Hikari recognized her and removed the hands of Hikari onto him. Hikari realized to release the hands of Ryuuki and observed that his not answering and felt that Ryuuki doesnt like her. But she continued saying, Ok, fine! You dont like me to be your friend, I guess? Whatever! But I want to have a friend like you; I dont want to be alone forever. He replied, Youre crazy! I cant accept you! she then replied, Yes Im crazy! Crazy because youre doing this to me. All I want is to be your friend, someone you can lean onwhenever you have encounter problems whether good or bad. Ryuuki replied, Who told you that I need a friend like you! (Pointing his finger to Hikari) or someone to lean on get lost! Hikari was so shocked to what did Ryuuki said a while ago. She stared to him with blunt expression then continue to flow her tears with full of hatred. Hmmmget lost? Wow! I couldnt believe that a guy like you can say that to me. Maybe, I was wrong to please you and Im nothing to you! You know what!?... Youre the same with my relatives and to the other guys sort of. Youre so bad. Ryuuki cant say anything, no wonder he realized everything he had said to Hikari, he cant comfort her rather says a bad words just to push her away from him because he think of Hikaris life. He only wants to protect her not to the extent to hurt her feelings because deep inside his thought he loves the girl. Hikari then decided to leave Ryuuki when he saw him not responding and nothing to say to console her. When Ryuuki finally get a chance to utter a words, Im really sorry, Hikari. Im being arrogant to reject you and say lot of hikari started to cry, cry, and cries because she thought Ryuuki couldnt say something. Ryuuki continued, I have a reason why I dont want to be your friendbecause youll be in danger if you wish me to be your friend. Thats all I can say. And a very confused face of Hikari was emphasized, Reason? My lives will what...in danger? Youre kidding me, right? You want me to get rid of you thats why you have that reason, is that what you mean? Answer me!? he replied, You may think of that fine! But Im sincere to tell the truth. She asked, Sincere? he explained, Yeah Im not.an ordinary person. But you wish to be my friend. Im not sure to accept it. She replied, Whatever, what or who you are. I wish to be your friend. I can accept you! The weather now is calm and beautiful when the two got together. They both stared to each other with glittery eyes.

After that night, Hikari missed the guy so much. She couldnt forget the eyes that were protruded to her. Its truly charming then she fell asleep. Ryuuki stared at her window before he left and said, I dont want to go somewhere if I know youre not there; because my heart needs to be right next to where you are. Early morning, Hikari was very happy. She looked into the mirror and talking to herself, hi, good morning! What a great day! I feel so great! she then sings call me maybe hey! I just met you. And this is crazy she went to the school and very excited to look for Ryuuki. She wanted to have a chat with his new discovered buddy but her left brain disagreed because she has something for Ryuuki. Then, her heart beat so fast when the moment she saw Ryuuki behind her. He greets her, hello, my princess! and she replied, what!? Princess? but she felt a little bit of giggle to smile. The other students noticed that the two were developed to each other while the other girls feel bitter. They look like a new hybrid couple because they have seen eating together, laughing together, chatting together, going to school together and going home together. More memories and moments happened to Hikari and Ryuuki. Her friend Aya noticed different acts to their relationships. They had developed a mutual feeling like a real couple and they had shared everything. One day, Hikari is celebrating her birthday, her friend Aya visits her to surprise her but she seems to be surprised because Ryuuki and Hikari are together and very happy like a couple. She felt that she was a distractor if she joined the two but as a friend she greets her, Happy Birthday, Hikari! with a cute cake as gift. Then, Hikari blows the candle and make a wish while Aya captures a photo of them. Ryuuki smiled at her and said in a sweet voice, Happy Birthday,Hikari! My princess! then, Aya asked Hikari about her wish. Hikari smiled and said, Secret? Aya replied, hmmm..aha?. That day is full moon, all the wolves were moaning. Ryuuki sense that he wii sooner or later evolve into a dangerous monster. He then told to the girls that he need to go home now and do something that he need to finish but that was a lie. Aya decided to go home too because its already late. Ryuuki started to evolve little by little. Finally, Hikari agreed that the two needs to go home and said, oh?..sorry its already 9pm. But you know guys you have completed my day... I thought Ill be celebrating it alone but I have you guys. Thank you! Thank you! Be careful. Ryuuki left without saying anything to Hikari thats why Aya was kinda scared and asked Hikari, Where is he? He didnt say goodbye to you. Hmmm. Anyway, Im leaving now. Happy birthday again my friend! Have a good sleep. Hikari replied, yeah, of course! Thank you! Bye! Aya left and luckily went home. Its already 11:00 pm when Hikari missed Ryuuki. At this moment, she heard a terrifying moaned of the wolves outside her room. She was scared but she wanted to

find out where the noise came from then she went down Hello? Hello? Someone theres? Im not scared, ok! though her hands were trembling because her fear and the ambience of the place Ryuuki, is that you? Come on, show up! This is not funny, ok? The wind blows and the atmosphere turns to cold, the trees are shaking, different shapes are form in the dark. She felt nervous, she can barely breathe when she saw the other part of Ryuukis body evolving to somewhat a hairy mons she couldnt continue what she was saying because Ryuuki smelled and saw her. At first, she was shocked when the monster appeared in front of her and looking at her lusciously to eat her as a whole then, she begged and shouted NoNo!!!!!!!!!!! she run so fast while she began to scream but the monster still follows her. When the monster saw some wild animals he bit them all while Hikari run, run, and runs until she met the dead end. At the wind blows, Hikari was extremely shaking and couldnt believe to whats going on to Ryuuki. She felt this like a nightmare that she wanted to wake up but the monster smells her fresh blood and body and here we go, he found out Hikari. The monster was quite near to her and looking lustfully to eat and cut the body of the girl into pieces. She cant do something aside from crying she throws all the things she can carry to the monster to let him out of her sight Pls. dont come forward! Ryuuki, its me!!!HIKARI your friend! Please! Dont kill me! But Ryuuki inside the body of the monster getting stronger Go away now, Hikari! I cant fight this anymore! -- Ryuukis voice is speaking and then the monster turns again Rawrrrrrrrr! You cant run away now! I will eat you! When the monster getting closer to Hikari she cried and talked, Pls. dont! Ryuuki! Im your friend and I know you! Please! You can fight this! then the monster replied, I am no longer Ryuuki that you are telling to me. This is the right time that Im waiting for to kill you! Rawrrr! the monster ready to grab her when he looks in the eyes of Hikari. His humanity comes out when the beautiful and glittery eyes compel him and when the tears fall on to his palm No! No! No! Run now, Hikari youre not safe here! I cant hurt you even eat you. Monster said but definitely Ryuukis tone. Hikari replied, I cant leave you now! No way! If you want to kill me then do it! Ryuuki extended his replied, Dont say that! Youre crazy! Just leave me now until I can control this body! Pls. Hikari, go now! Not this time, Ryuuki because I do love you! Hikari said. The intense moment change when Hikari pronounced the phrase. The voice of Hikari echoed to Ryuukis mind I do love youlove youlove you. Ryuuki was shocked and surprised. He felt the overwhelming and untouchable spirit of Hikaris love like what he had for her a very long time ago. Then, he could already control himself and begun to transform into a handsome man and unbelievably speak, But I am a monster who canhow can you love me? the gloomy field turns to peaceful and sincere setting. Hikari replied, Because thats how I feel being with you and theres nothing wrong in love. Ryuuki then lend his hand and said the lines in sweet voice, I love you so much and forever but Hikari cut the moment when Ryuuki said something because she feels that his going to say negative again about himself. Rather she continued it, Youve controlled it because you do love me and Ryuuki then cut her dramatic lines because he hugs her and kisses her passionately. Giving some air to Hikari chances to speak -You know whattoday was a fairytale then kissed him back.

A Silent Love
From the very beginning, a damsels family strongly disapproved on her dating guy. Inferring, she might suffer if she was to be with him because of the family background of the guy. Due to familys pressure and strictness, the couple squabbles very often. Though, the damsel loves the guy so deeply and sincerely, and still always asks him, how deep is your love for me? As the guy is not good with his flowery words, this eventually causes dismay to the girl. With that circumstance, the girl tends to vend her anger on him repeatedly. Nonetheless, the guy only endures it in reticent. A couple years passed by, the guy had finally graduated and decided to continue further his studies in other countries. Before leaving, he proposed to the damsel though he stammered in saying the words, Im not very good in saying beautiful wordsbut all I can say is that I love you. If you allow me, I will take care of you for the rest of my life. As for your family, I will try my best to talk to them around and be part of their life too. Will you marry me? The girl agreed and her family finally agreed to let them get married. They got engaged before he leaves. The girl went out to the working society, whilst the guy was overseas. They sent their love via email and phone calls. But one day, the girl was on her way to work when suddenly a car got lost control and bumped her. When she awoke, she saw her parents besides her bed and cry a lot but she realized that she was badly injured. She wanted to comfort her parents but she cant because theres no voice comes out due to the great impact of the car onto her that was cognate on her brain. During her staying in the hospital, the only thing accompanied her was a hush cried. Upon reaching home, she always hears the phone ringing but she shant answer it thats why she neglected those messages and calls and still crying. While the guy sent a millions and millions of reply and infinite phone calls. After several years ago, with a new environment, the girl learnt sign language and started a new life because she wrote a last letter to the guy saying that she does not wish to wait any longer and says a lot of bad words just to hurt the feelings of the guy, so that he cant marry her and would dislike her much. Though, its really hurt and hard for her sakes, she chose that for the guy she loves and not wanting to be a burden to him. Her parents chose to leave the country for their daughters sakes to recover. But one day, her friend came and told her friend not to let him know what happened to her. Since then, there wasnt any more news of him. A year ago, her friend came with an envelope, containing an invitation card for the guys wedding. The girl was shocked and stupefied at the same time seeing her name in it instead. She asked her friend. Whats going on? Then, she saw the guy standing in front of her using sign language telling, Ive spent a years time to learn sign language just to let you know that Ive not forgotten you and thats a promise. Let me have the chance to be your voice. I love you and take this ring back. The only thing she did is a warmth smile. The guy hugs the girl and kisses her forehead as a primal love.
