Since the British were in debt after the French and Indian war the British made the colonists pay taxes on printed materials and stamps to stick on documents. Basically the same as the stamp act, the colonists didnt like the acts but nothing really happened over it. This was a 9 because there were people that died during this event.

The Intolerable Acts

In 1773 the tea act was passed and it made the colonists buy tea from the East Indies company. This made the colonists made. So the Sons of liberty organized the tea party which was that the colonists dressed as Native Americans and dumped all the tea in the bay. It as the coercive act that made the colonists pay for all the tea that was dumped in the bay. It was called the intolerable acts because the colonists felt that they could not tolerate them.
