WECE Panelist Information

Shruti Gupta Shruti graduated from Tech in 2010 with a BSEE, and from Stanford in 2012 with an MSEE. She is currently System Design Engineer for SanDisk in San Francisco, CA. Shrutis work includes designing, defining and implementing complex system requirements for customers. She also prepares studies and analyzes existing systems. This allows her to determine system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Shrutis Advice to Students: Get involved, network and enjoy your college life!

Kathy Thomas Kathy graduated from Georgia Tech '08 with a BS CmpE, and is currently studying Information Technology with a focus in Mobility at Carnegie Mellon. As this is a bi-coastal program, she recently moved to the Silicon Valley, CA campus this year when she became a 2nd year Master's student. Previously, Kathy worked for three years as a software engineer at Harris Corporation in Melbourne, FL. Kathys Advice to Students: Gravitate towards something you enjoy doing so that it's sustainable as a lifestyle and become confident about learning new things on your own. Also, it takes all kinds to be successful, so find where you fit in.

Jenny Liu Jenny graduated from Tech with her BSEE in 2011, and is currently working on her MSEE, with a minor at BME. As a research assistant at GTRIs Human Systems Engineering group, Jenny researches and develops signal processing algorithms for health monitoring and tracking. Jennys Advice to Students: Take every opportunity to do research (with a profession, as a class, etc.) at Tech.

Shabrina Jauhal Shabrina graduated from Georgia Tech in 2009 with her BSEE and in 2010 with her MSEE. She is currently a Systems Engineer at Cisco Systems in the Virtual Engineering TSN in Raleigh, NC. As a systems engineer, she is the trusted technical advisor for people inside and outside of the company as it relates to sales. She works to alleviate and solve real world customer network infrastructure problems before making those solutions scalable for future needs. Denise Morgan Denise graduated from Georgia Tech in 1987 with a BSEE. After graduation, Denise began working for Amoco. During her 12 year tenure at Amoco, she acted as a project engineer, cracking division electrical engineer, utilities division electrical engineer, analyzer engineer, analyzer supervisor, maintenance supervisor, and we&c electrical engineer. She currently works part time as a Power Systems Engineer at Eaton Corporation where she performs short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies for refineries, chemical plants, schools, etc. Denise lives in Houston with her husband and two children.

Nicole Rennalls Nicole graduated from Georgia Tech in 2009 with a BSEE focused in electrical power. She joined Eatons Leadership Development Program for Operations Engineers that fall, and completed three rotations within the business as a supplier quality engineer, production supervisor, and project manager. For the past year, she has been a Power Systems Engineer at Eatons Houston office. She does what Denise does, only not as well .
