Onjob Training Programme

As a frontline Exploration and Production company, Pakistan Petroleum Limited is a key player in the hydrocarbons sector for over six decades with consistent track record in youth development, particularly in and around companyoperated areas. As part of its commitment for capacity building of young professionals, PPL is pleased to announce a two year Onjob Training Programme. Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria provided below are required to appear for a written test conducted by National Testing Service (NTS) in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta and Peshawar on September 30, 2012. Eligibility Criteria: Pakistani nationals between 22 and 27 years of age, with a first or high second division (57 percent and above) throughout their academic career are eligible to appear for the test relevant to their discipline / qualification for positions specified below: Discipline GEOSCIENCES ENGINEERING Mechanical Chemical Electrical Electronics Petroleum Civil INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Position Trainee Geologist Trainee Geophysicist Trainee Geologist (Drilling) Qualification MSc or 4 year BSc (Geosciences/Geological Engineering) Test GAT C

Candidates who have already appeared in the final examinations are also eligible to apply provided they furnish a certificate issued by the institute to this effect. However such provisionally selected applicants can only be inducted as trainees after they have cleared the final examinations and submitted a certificate. HOW TO APPLY: Candidates meeting the above criteria may register themselves with NTS by visiting www.nts.org.pk and paying a nonrefundable fee of Rs. 650/ latest by September 7 2012.

Candidates securing minimum 60 percent in the NTS test will be further shortlisted on merit on the basis of number of positions and called for interviews accordingly. Further information on the Onjob Training Programme can be obtained by visiting

There is no obligation on the company to offer regular employment to trainees on completion of training. Applications sent directly to PPL in contravention of the prescribed procedure will not be entertained.
