The new 1.0 EcoBoost 125 PS petrol engine produces 30 per cent more maximum power than the larger capacity 1.4 96PS, and yet it achieves around 24 per cent better fuel economy and 25 per cent lower CO2 emissions. The new 1.6 Duratorq TDCi 95 PS diesel engine is even more frugal, with CO2 emissions of just 87 g/km.
