Davisons Awards, Certificates and Recognition From the beginning, Davisons goal was to become a prominent new product

developme nt company. They strive to build the best possible products for their clients an d do whatever it takes to be ahead of competition. Davison has received numerou s awards for some of the products they have helped to develop. Here are their awards and recognitions: 360 Wrist Therapy Brace In 2008, the 360 Wrist Therapy Brace received a certificate of excellence from I. D. Magazine and showcased the product at an exhibition at Parsons the New School for Design in New York. It offers consumers full 360-degree therapy and joint s upport with a built-in gel system designed specifically to reduce swelling and r elieve pain. It is freezable and microwaveable, depending on the user s needs, a nd its reversible design allows for use on the left or right hand. The 360 Wrist Therapy Brace also attaches quickly and effectively with hook-and-loop fastener s. Jack N Stand In 2007, the Jack N Stand received a certificate of excellence from I.D. Magazin e. The Jack N Stand is an innovative automobile jack that simplifies the car-lift ing process. The BikeBoard, Hover Creeper and Oil Filter Gripper Davison received three Industrial Design Excellence awards which were co-sponsor ed by BusinessWeek Magazine and the Industrial Society of America. In 2006, The BikeBoard and the Hover Creeper received IDSA Design Awards and in 1996, the Oil Filter Gripper was awarded with one, outshining thousands of products all over the United States. The BikeBoard, which is hybrid of a skateboard and a bike, wa s sold in major retailers including Dicks Sporting Goods. The Hover Creeper is an automotive creeper that glides in right above the ground for mechanics to easil y access the bottom of their car and the Oil Filter Gripper allows people to cha nge their car oil without making a mess. Davisons Inventionland, a 60,000 square-foot, Disneyesque design facility, was aw arded the inaugural Creative Room in Business Award by the Pittsburgh Technology Council at the ceremonys third-annual Design, Art & Technology Awards held at th e Pittsburgh Opera. According to Inventionland founder and CEO George Davison, t he recognition by the oldest and largest technology association in Northern Amer ica, is a great honor. In December 2006, Dr. Joanne G. Sujansky, author of "Pittsburgh Will Steel Your Heart: 250 Reasons to Love Pittsburgh," nominated Davison s design facility, Inv entionland, for a Steel Heart Award. The KEYGroup sponsored award is given month ly to local people or organizations that exemplify the attributes of the Vibrant Entrepreneurial Organizations program.
