 Construction Standard silencers for commercial applications are constructed of pregalvanized sheet steel for the casing, splitter bull nose and splitter tail. The splitters are filled with high density acoustic mineral wool which is protected by perforated pre galvanizedsheetmetal.Apolyestermembranecanbeincorporatedintothesplitters forprotectionagainstOil,grease,dustorwater. Industrialsilencershaveheaviercasingsmadefrom3mm,5mm,orthickersteeland canbepaintedtoanypaintspecificationasrequired.Aluminumandstainlesssteel constructionisalsoavailableforsomeacidicapplications,whilePVCisavailablefor someacidicapplications. Flanges Our rectangularsilencers are supplied with end flanges made from angle iron with longsilencershavingadditionalflangesfittedalongthelengthtostiffenandsupport thecasing. Theangleflangesarenormallyfinishedincoldgalvanizedpaintforprotection, Although special paint finishes are applied when the whole silencer case has to adheretoaspecialpaintspecification. Barclay Engineerings cylindrical silencers are available in 2 standard models, type BCDS(unpodded,straightthrough)andBCDS(P),podded. Theunpoddedmodelprovidessoundattenuationwithlowpressurelossthroughthe Silencer.Poddedmodelprovideshigherattenuationwithreasonablepressureloss. Bothmodelsareavailableinstandardlengthofonediameter(1D)ortwodiameter (2D)lengths.NonStandardlengthsareavailableifrequired.
