Agree and disagree with someone opinion

Agree and disagree refer to the resolution of a conflict1. Agree and disagree arise because you want to express your feeling although you agree with the opinion or not. It happens in many occasions in daily life where ever the place is. In western or in Indonesia the way to express the agreement or disagreement is slightly different. You need to be very polite when disagreeing with someone in English, even someone you know quite well. With someone you know very well, you can disagree more directly. Notice
that when you disagree with someone in English, you need to give a reason why you disagree. It is not enough to simply state that you think the other person is wrong and leave it at that. Explain your thoughts and opinions fully2.
In English speaking country, people say agreement and disagreement to accept or deny someones opinion. When we are assertive with our views we should communicate them in a clear, positive and firm ways to others3. We can divide the expression that used to express whether you

agree or not.

In some occasion like in the parliament meeting in Jakarta, people do not show their response of disagree with utterance but also with act. If their words does not heard by other participants they will use any stuff around us and sometimes they throw it to the people they do not agree with5. In east java for example, some people show their response of disagreement by silence. Silence means they do not agree with someone whether it is act or verbal6. It is the different between Indonesia and English speaking country in some occasion. Agreement and disagreement fits with high and low context7, in Indonesia people use high context because they do not directly said they do not agree. People show their agreement or disagreement politely and before they say disagreement they have to know why they are disagree and give reasonable reason. In western fit with direct society who uses many words to say their response by say details of what they disagree or agree with someones opinion. Utterance to show agreement and disagreement is does not matter as long as the words is polite and not mocking others opinion. People still honor others opinion whether they agree with them or not.
