The appointments are on contract basis (without any reference to their pensions). The
period of contract for various levels is as indicated below.

1. Professors Upto 3 Years
2. Associate Professors Upto 4 Years
3. Assistant Professors; and Upto 5 Years
4. Tutors Upto 3 years

The contract period may be renewed on satisfactory performance and subject to the maximum
age limit of 65 years.

OTHER ALLOWANCES:

1. Accommodation within the campus, if available on payment of standard rent as may be
fixed.

2. Sponsorship of the !nstitute for attending One State Conference in a year and one
!nternational Conference every two years, provided paper is presented;

3. Free treatment for self and family (spouse, dependent children and dependent parents)
as per existing medical reimbursement rules of Government of Andhra Pradesh;

+. L.T.C. every 2 years for Home Town and every + years any where in !ndia;

5. Permission for pay clinic, if any, run by the concerned Government Nedical College
f Hospital f Aarogyasri patients f public as decided by the Executive Board.

ELIGIBILITY

As per the NC! f DC! norms of "MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF TEACHERS IN
MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS REGULATIONS 199S".

Note:- 1. Ratio of M.Sc. candidates was already filled up, there are no vacancies for
M.Sc candidates and they need not appear for this interview.

2. Number of vacancies of teaching faculty in all cadres may increase or
decrease.
PROFESSOR

The applicant shall be a doctor with Post Graduate Degree in the concerned Nedical
Speciality recognized by the N.C.!.
Worked as Associate Professor in the speciality for + years in a recognized Nedical
College.
Two (2) Research publications in indexed journals in preferable.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Worked as Assistant Professor in the Speciality for 5 years in a recognized Nedical
College.
Two (2) Research Publications in indexed journals is preferable.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:

Requisite recognized Post Graduate Qualification in the subject.

EPIDEMIOLOGIST CUM LECTURER:

N.D. (Community Nedicine)

TUTOR J Senior Resident: The following qualifications are required in the order of
preference.

1. Recognised degrees of NBBS with PG diploma f degree in concerned specialities, as
applicable to the subject.

2. N.B.B.S. from recognized institution.

METHOD OF APPOINTMENT

The appointment shall be made by the Selection Committee as per the rules of the
semiautonomous institutions.
