November 26th, 2012 Letter of Recommendation It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for my student Pallavi Agashe. I have known Pallavi for about two years as my student. During her engineering, I taught her class Software Engineering, and Information Security in which he scored excellent grades 7 and 9 respectively. Additionally I also guided her work on her final year project. Based on my association with her, I can say that she is an intelligent, levelheaded, patient person who is rational and practical in her approach. She has been a good performer in her academics. While working on assignments and in the lab, I have noticed that she worked with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. She has a very optimistic attitude and the eagerness to learn more. This was also evident from the project that she did during her final year where she and her team had proposed and developed an adaptive protocol which depending upon network traffic conditions, chose between DSR and DSDV as underlying protocol, thus taking advantage of both of them. The protocol was developed using NS2 simulator and deployed on linux platform. She had spent days researching the subject, and her work has been worth appreciating. She has the willingness to put in sincere efforts. I should admit that I have few students as dedicated and motivated as Pallavi. Her enthusiasm helped keep her teammates motivated too. It is her dedication, hard work, and her never give up spirit that I am sure will take a long way in her career. Pallavi is very well mannered. She has a very helpful nature and did not hesitate to help friends with their academics or otherwise. She has good relationships with all faculty and staff members of our college. She is also an active participant is many academic and non-academic college events. Noteworthy amongst those were her participation in IBM competition The Great Mind Challenge, which is a competition for developing web application. She was an active member of student bodies like Society of Robotics and Automation, Association of Computer Enthusiasts etc. All this, she managed without affecting her performance in academics. Pallavi plans to join a masters program. I am confident that she will shine and be successful at your university. She is perfectly suited for graduate studies and I have no hesitation or reservation in recommending her for admission as well as financial assistance.
