Privacy is an individual's ability to selectively reveal personal information and an expectation of privacy can differ culturally. Privacy concerns exist whenever identifiable personal data is collected and stored, though some are willing to trade privacy for advantages like security. The UN Declaration of Human Rights protects against arbitrary interference with privacy, family, home or correspondence.
