Under each mode there is a variable called "Racer.OverallSpeedFactor=0.80" . Set its value to 0.5 or 0.2 (for example,, "Racer.OverallSpeedFactor=0.50 "). This will reduce your opponent's speed considerably, and you can easily win the race. You can us e any value within 0 to 1 for that variable. Setting "Racer.OverallSpeedFactor=0 " will stop your opponents. Note: There are a number of variables in "racetune.i ni" file that can be modified for ma ing new cheats as desired. You can also do this on any other trac , but Outbac II is the easiest. In Hot Pursuit or Championship mode, it is possible to get a great amount of poi nts. When racing, get the minimum position needed to proceed (for example, third , second, and first place). Race and get third place. When you get third place a nd collect your points, restart the race. Only this time, get second place. Coll ect your points, restart the race, and get first place. When you want to get rid of the cop chasing you at a close distance, get just be hind him so that your front tire is touching his bac tire. Then, turn your car slightly in the direction of the cop car. The officer will get turned around and end up facing in the wrong direction. This should give you enough time to get a way. If you are really luc y, he may hit the other racers and cause a big accide nt.

Listen to the police chat ter on the radio. A unit will say what side of the road the spi es are on when t hey are set. Then when you reach that roadbloc , smash through the barricade on the side without spi es. If the unit does not specify what side the spi es are o n, then assume they are across the entire road. In this case you will have to ra m through one of the police cars on either side of the strip to get past it safe ly, or go around the entire roadbloc if there is room or ta e an alternate rout e. If you hit the strip, you will have no chance of getting away without a tic e t. A.A.M. Drive close to traffic or through narrow spaces and near obstacles while police pursue you. They will usually swerve bac and forth behind you, and there is a g ood chance they will blindly smash into anything you drive close to. Most of the time if they hit a wall, tree, or oncoming traffic at high speed, their car wil l be totaled. This may also happen if they slide into guard rails hard enough or too many times. Also, when coming up on a police car, if you are far ahead of t he other racers you can ram the cop. If you are traveling fast enough and hit th eir side you can total them, leaving you with less trouble to deal with later. N ote: Wrec ed cruisers will call for a tow truc and re-spawn on the trac . Total ing them just helps to get them off your bac temporarily. A.A.M. Get rid of police helicopters Find a dividing road. Shortcuts wor perfectly. Slow opponents down All of your opponents can be scared. If your opponents are directly besides you, suddenly steer towards them, as if you were trying to ram their car off the roa d. They will panic and veer away from your sudden move. If you are luc y, they m ay veer away too much, thus causing them to crash into an object, slowing them d own. You can also do this to police that are on your tail. Another way to slow down opponents is to get behind their car and ram it 180 deg rees from the bottom left or right of it.
