SPAMAST RESEARCH REVIEW (Student Category)
About the Research Review

Among the functions of the institution, research and extension has been given attention in order to emphasize the relevance and responsiveness of schools existence in relation to the current needs of the community not only in this part of the region but also to the country as a whole. Research outputs must be disseminated and among the conduits of delivering the results to the intended beneficiaries, the conduct of the annual agency in-house reviews is a necessity. Moreover, as one of the member-agencies of SMARRDEC, it is imperative that research results and extension highlights must be reviewed in order to assure that relevant information is being delivered to the clients. With the experts from the consortium and from the Provincial Local Government Unit, information disseminated will be evaluated as to its validity and utility. The conduct of the Research Review (Student Category), in coordination with SMARRDEC, spells out SPAMAST contribution to the regional R&D thrust and goals, as well as, enhancement of the research, development and extension capability of the SPAMAST constituents. Objectives: 1. Assesses research outputs to be awarded as Best Thesis (per Course) 2. Provides a venue for disseminating Thesis output of students; 3. Enhances the capability of student-researches.
Paper Submission Guidelines Title of the research paper and abstract to be presented must be submitted on or before MARCH 13, 2012. Electronic copies of the complete papers to be presented must be submitted on or before MARCH 13, 2012. Researchers can submit it in two ways, that is: 1. 2. Attention: Ms. Rhoda M. Hilis Submitted electronic files must be named as the main authors last name, first name and agency, as the following: Lname_Fname_agency.ext. If you are submitting more than one paper, please number them as Lname_Fname1_agency.ext. For example, if your name is Juan Katindig of SPAMAST-CAFMS, and you are submitting two (2) documents in Microsoft word format, your file names should appear this way: Katindig_juan1_CAFMS.doc and katindig_juan2_CAFMS.doc

Authors will be informed of the receipt of the paper within 2 working days from receipt hereof. If there is no confirmation after that, the author should contact the RDE Office (09496901850) immediately. Also, please furnish the Secretariat with six (6) printed copies of your report. Required Paper Format All files must be created using Microsoft Office applications. Final papers must be prepared on letter size paper (8.5x11). Do not include page numbers in your paper. For Completed researches, follow this format: Paper title: The complete title must be in Times New Roman 12 point bold. Please do not number the pages. The first letter of each word in the title must be capitalized. Author(s): The names, affiliation and contact information must be provided under the title of the paper, in Times New Roman 10 point bold. If there are more than one author, please list all the names and respective information. The body of the abstract should contain no more than 300 words, in Times New Roman Introduction Methodology Results and Discussion Conclusion and Recommendation Annexes (Raw data, figures and mapsif not yet included in the main body of the report, other supporting documents)
