The activity we have prepared is developed around the topic of the contemporary age, which is included in the subject of science, in the history theme. It belongs to the third cycle (6th of primary education) We have chosen this topic to make our activity because is one of the most important, as it set the basis for the development of the future life in society. The activity that we will explain now allows the growth of the attitudes and values of the children of primary education. On the other hand it has a motivational character, as it is a near theme for the students, because they learn recent events. It provides the students a high grade of coherence and meaning of the contents working in class that by working in another way could be meaningless. The methodology use would be active and participative by the students, considering it as the center of the teaching-learning process. Is intended that the kid builds its own knowledge by discovering, that is through manipulation and based on his experience. The activity that is raised following requires the student to investigate, search, organize information and extract his own conclusions. We proceed to explain the development of the activity. The activity will be introduce at the beginning of the topic, and will last until the end of it, that way the activity will be developing in a period of about two or three weeks.

The name of the activity is the time capsule. Each student will create their own time capsule. They will build a cardboard box, or any other material. In the box they will put all the information they found about the contemporary age in all its aspects. They could place photos, images, newspaper clippings, and information about different themes such as transports, culture, politics, economy, society, technical progress, medicine They could also include objects from their daily life, crafts, or whatever they want. The objective is that this capsule gather the most important events of that period, so that if in the future the students themselves, or other person want to remember or know what happened in that period they could open the box and just discover it with all the material they have collect. This activity requires that the students get involve in their own learning, but it also give them freedom to work in whatever they like most, for example music, art, science In the capsule they should also include a notebook, kind of a diary, in which they would write every day the most relevant acts, or the events that have catch their attention according to society, culture, politics We think this is a very interesting activity as it allows the students relate in an active way the knowledge learned in the school and it also involves the student in a whole way in their learning process but giving them permission to work in their own and develop. We consider is a very original activity, attractive for the students and with a great content and educational value.
