Example of a 7M Standard Tunnel

All structures incorporate large diameter galvanized tubular steel frames. Tunnels are insulated using a highly effective low density glass mineral wool quit (fibre glass) which is made especially to suit our structures. Applied in layers for maximum effect, the total heat loss through a 180mm (7) thick insulated roof on a standard 9mx33m (30x110) growing room across a 20C temperature difference is only 2,105 Watts. Standard polythene covers are used for the inner (White) and Outer (Green). Standard houses use tanalith treated timber end frames & base rails, with the option of steel end frames and aluminium base rails. Tunnels can be free-standing, or built against a service corridor.
