79 are ordained deacons at 12 70 become teachers at 14 58 are ordained priests at 16 32 are ordained to the Melchizedek Priesthood at 18

Active members defined as being baptized and attending church at least once every six weeks 1991 survey reported 60 to 80 percent of deacons intend to serve missions Once age of 16 or 17 is reached, intent to serve drops to 55 percent

Within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the rate of active young men between the ages of 19 and 21 serving missions has remained stagnant at 32 percent and if this trend continues, the need for missionaries will continue to increase and the Church will not be able to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the four corners of the Earth.
