Are you sick of the cold weather, waking up early, and having homework? Dont you wish it was summer? Yeah, us too! I know summer may seem like a long way away, but at First Capital Student Ministry, we like to think it will be here before we know it. Thats why we are planning our largest summer event called MOVE. What is MOVE? Great question! MOVE is a 5-day event designed to challenge High School students in their faith. Its packed full of relevant communicators, high-energy music and unique entertainment all on a college campus. This summer alone, the MOVE Conference will have over 20,000 students at

for 2013
This year, MOVE will give students a
glimpse into the life of a man who knew that the road toward Gods will is never smooth... or straight. From boyhood promise, to slavery, to prison, and on into positions of leadership and great responsibility, the story of Joseph echoes of perseverance and trust themes. God calls us to embrace even today. No matter where you are, God calls you to serve. Josephs life points to Gods people. Through their ups and downs, God never leaves them. He always calls them to Rise Up.

Some things you should know about Move
Morning Show Make sure you are ready each morning for the MOVE Morning Show. The Morning Show is designed to wake you up each day through funny videos, stupid skits and whatever crazy ideas MOVE can come up with. Extended Recreation On Thursday, we have the opportunity to enjoy an extended afternoon of free time. As a group, we will leave the campus and check out the beach! MOVE Station The MOVE Station is a great place for you to purchase MOVE apparel, sign up for The Alternative, tournaments, group photos, and more. If you dont want to bring a ton of cash, the MOVE Station takes MasterCard, VISA, Amex, and Discover. Be sure to know the location and posted hours of when they will be open throughout the week. Encounter Time Following the Morning Session, you will be dismissed to your Encounter Time and Small Group (D-Group). This is an opportunity for you to participate in devotions in your student booklet. If you have any questions, look to your leaders, as they will be prepared to help you make the most of this time. The Next Level If you are a graduated senior, MOVE invites you to attend The Next Level, which is an in-depth Bible study taught by the Morning speaker while everyone else is in their Encounter Time. This is a great opportunity for you to get an inside glimpse of that days theme, ask questions and be challenged in your faith. The Alternative MOVE provides you an opportunity to share your talents (singing, instrumental, bands, skits, poetry, comedic, etc.). You may sign up for The Alternative at the MOVE Station, but do so quickly as spots are limited and fill up quickly. Come rehearsed and ready to amaze your fellow MOVE attendees!
Its using your talents and abilities, leveraging your influence and even using your future career to spread the message of Christ. It can be as near as volunteering at your church or as far as digging a well in Zambia. There is nothing too near or too far.
At MOVE, students are called to be Kingdom workers. They are challenged to not only grow in their faith in Christ, but to also show the love of Christ to the world around them. Whether students are simply nicer to their teachers in school or choose to try and end world hunger, MOVE encourages students to make a difference no matter where they are or what they do. In the past, MOVE has raised up students who have fed 500 families on Thanksgiving, built wells with clean water in Zambia, worked to stop sex-trafficking in Cambodia, and clothed the homeless in their community. This year, students will leave MOVE with a specific Kingdom Work challenge. Check out vimeo.com/ fcsm to hear Quest grad Morgan Mosley share about her Kingdom Worker experience. Thousands of students leave MOVE every summer ready to make a difference in the world. And guess what? They really do. Weve seen countless high school students change the world.
