EDU Subject: Wonderful News from the University at Buffalo The legal writing faculty at the University at Buffalo Law School would like to share an exciting development with everyone. (Were posting this collectively because were a directorless program.) All seven current members of UBs legal writing faculty (our names are listed below) have recently been awarded presumptively-renewable contracts. The new contracts are the latest step in a remarkable transformation of UBs legal writing program. Over the past two years, weve gone from a two-semester, seven-credit program to a three-semester, ten-credit program. In addition, the base salary for our legal writing faculty has been increased by one-third. These changes would not have been possible without the leadership of our Dean, Makau Mutua, and two of our Vice Deans, Chuck Ewing and Jim Gardner. Were grateful for their commitment to the legal writing program and for the support weve received from the entire UB law faculty.
