To be eligible you must be 8-38 years old, no current or previous history of mental illness, physically healthy and available for a follow-up session approximately 1.5 years later. Data from both sessions will allow us to assess the brain development changes that have taken place between your first and second visit. Your data will provide the comparison to later identify what are the differences in brain development that predict mental illness. The study involves an: 1. MRI scan 2. EEG recording 3. Web-based questionnaires 4. Provision of a saliva sample Approximately 1.5 years later you will be recontacted for a follow-up session which involves completing the same components.

Participants will be reimbursed for their contribution. This research has been approved by the University of Sydney Human Research Ethics Committee. They will help students register and direct them to our O-Week sessions. You should be someone who is outgoing and confident in approaching and chatting to other students you don't know. Leading up to the expo, marketing activities will be similar. More confident and outgoing volunteers will also have the option to do some lecture bashing to promote the event as widely as possible. The week before the expo we will be running a large BBQ and will need our army of volunteers there to help run it and promote to students in the queue! We will also welcome other creative ideas that our volunteers may have to get the word out!!
