I love to run.
I dont run very fast, but I run far and I am improving. As an older athlete, I struggle to balance professional, civic, and family demands with a desire to train. I cannot train as much and as hard as my younger peers and I need more time to recover, but I have fun and have learned to compete only with myself.

The heat, three weeks of forced inactivity after a bad colonoscopy, and inadequate training did a number on my time. Hopefully Ill redeem myself in Athens on Oct 21st - looking for something less than 2:30:00!

Lots of fun and I always enjoy running with my sons. As second colonoscopy and another doctor-ordered layoff kept my training from being optimal, but I was pleased with my time. Not a PR, nothing to brag about, leaves room for improvement, etc., but Ill take it and keep moving.

The second one was just as much fun as the first and the bling was even cooler! Faster than my first Savannah run, but still nothing to brag about. Ive GOT to train better I really want to break 2:30:00 on a half before I get too old.
