Little Flower Neighborhood


History
The Little Flower Neighborhood developed in the 1920s, with the majority of homes constructed in the
1930s and 1940s. Homes were built around St. Therese, the Little Flower Catholic Church and School
founded in 1925, which continues to be the anchor of the neighborhood. In 1953, Father Thomas
Scecina Memorial High School was added. "Scecina", as most people call it, is considered one of the
top private schools in Indianapolis. The Little Flower Neighborhood has maintained this family oriented
community for over eighty years.
