Directions using Syrup Tank


**
1. Meter minimum two-thirds of treated water into
mixing tank and turn agitator on.
2. While mixing, add Potassium Benzoateand
Potassium Citrate. Mix until completely
dissolved.
3. Add Citric Acid and then Aspartame and
Acesulfame-Potassium. Continue toagitate
for fifteen minutes adding the remaining
required treated water.
4. Add Concentrate and agitate until completely
blended. (Range 5-10 minutes)
5. Turn off agitator. To reduce foaming
potential, before bottling, allow syrup
sufficient time to expel entrappedair.
6. Check pH and Titration of finished syrup and
control drink. Pass through 100-mesh screen
prior to packaging.

Procedure #2: Directions using Blend (side) Tank
**
1. Meter sufficient treated water into mixing tank
(Recommend 50%) keeping enough treated water
aside for each blend step. Tuen on Mixing
Tank agitator.
2. Turn on Blend Tank agitator. Meter sufficient
treated water into Blend Tank and dissolve
Potassium Benzoate and Potassium Citrate.
Transfer to Mixing Tank.
3. Rinse Blend Tank with sufficient water to
remove all benzoate/citrate from Blend Tank
and transfer line.
4. Meter sufficient treated water into Blend Tank.
While agitating, slowly add CitricAcid
followed by required Aspartame and

five minutes.
5. Transfer solution to Mixing Tank. Rinse Blend
Tank with sufficient treated water to
clear the Blend Tank and transferline.
6. Add Concentrate to Blend Tank and rinse with
sufficient water to clear Blend Tand and
transfer line.
7. Add any remaining required treated water to the
Mixing Tank and agitate the syrupin the
Mixing Tank until completely blended. (Range
5 to 10 minutes.)
8. Turn off agiator. To reduce foamingpotential,
before bottling, allow syrup sufficient time
to expel entrapped air.
9. Check pH and Titration of finished syrup and
control drink. Pass through 100-mesh screen
prior to packaging.

USED IN THE PREPARATION OF SYRUP

Hydroxide to pH 8.3

w/ 0.05N- Sodium Hydroxide to pH 8.3
