It is the Monday before Easter Sunday and I am on Baby High Alert!

As most of you know our oldest daughter is having her first child and according to the doctors today, she is mighty close. This means that when the call comes we will leave to be with her and I will be on a weeks vacation. If you see me Easter Sunday that will mean the baby is not here yet. Boy, the suspense is killing me What a great week to have, or hope to have, a baby. We celebrate this Sunday the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is through His death on the cross and resurrection from the grave that we have new life, eternal life, in Him. I am so excited about the new life HE has given me. The Easter Celebration will begin at 7:15 AM on Easter Sunday with our Sunrise Service at the Decatur County Airport. Sunday School will follow at 9:45 AM and our mornings worship service will begin at 11AM. I hope you will make plans to attend each of these. NEWS FLASH!!! The $374,000 for the building of the Raymond Miles Youth Center has been collected! PRAISE THE LORD for your faithfulness. A Ground Breaking Service will be held at 4pm on Sunday, April 7 in front of where the building will be built. This will serve as our evening worship service that day.

EASTER CANTATA TO THE RISEN KING What more can I say? If you were present, your soul was blessed. If you missed it, then, you missed it! Copies of the video are available if you care to experience it at home. I appreciate the exceptional effort by the choir, accompanist, AV team and narrator in making this years musical a true worship experience. FELLOWSHIP CLUB Our next gathering will be at noon on Monday, April 1st and local attorney, Pete Emmons will answer questions we have about our estates and wills. THANKS TO the SAINTS ALIVE CHOIR for singing at the Holy Week luncheon last Thursday. You were a blessing with your beautiful singing.

Children may be missionaries too!

I'd like for all our children to be a part of Spring Break at the Rivers Community on Tuesday, April 2, 10 am until noon. The youth are doing this outreach, but this is a great way for our kids to reach out to those that are their age to make new friends and share Jesus. Please consider talking with your child about becoming a missionary this Spring Break and join us at the Rivers Community. Not only will he or she get to be a missionary, but will be able to participate in all the fun events planned as well!

Youth Building I am so excited to announce that we have received all the money for the structure of our new youth building and we will be doing a ground breaking Ceremony on April 7th at 4:00. GOD IS GREAT!!!!! Casting Crowns We will be leaving the church at 4:00 p.m. and returning around 10ish. Please be prepared to pay for your supper. Haiti Folks We are going to do a few more fundraisers for Haiti. We will have a Date night for couples on may 4th from 5-10. The charge will be $10 a child. We ask that they eat supper before coming. We also have a lunch planned on April 21st after the a.m. service. There will be a silent auction planned for that day as well. Please keep an eye out for more information on both events in the builder or by email. Upcoming Meetings- Jr. and Sr. Trip meeting is scheduled for May 5th. You must be at this meeting if you plan on attending the trip. We will be filling out paperwork and taking up money.

VBS: NOT just for kids!

This year we are offering an adult track with our VBS. It is my prayer this will allow us to reach out to entire families. But I need your help. I need adults that will be willing to intentionally build relationships with the families that come for dinner at VBS and invite them to stay for Bible study. If you are interested, I would like for you to host a table during dinner where you invite individuals who just dropped their kids off to join you- for dinner and Bible study. It is simply a new way to intentionally build relationships with Kingdom growth in mind. Please begin to pray about the possibility God may be calling you to reach out to our visitors. CHERRY TREE FESTIVAL

We had a great day of fellowship and fun on our trip to Macon last Thursday. The tour of the Woodward house was awesome and St. Josephs Church was beautiful. On our next trip, well be sure there are blossoms before we leave town for the day!
