Afraz Ahmad Currently: Field Engineer Trainee at Schlumberger "I have had the urge to make a difference around me eversince the day i joined ASME in my 3rd semester. I have always tried to take advantage of ASMEs numerous leadership opportunities which taught me how to deal with crisis situations. Even today experiences with ASME help me execute my plans professionally. You always grow in ranks at ASME. You start as a participant in an event, work as a volunteer, then as a manager and if you are dedicated and hardworking then you become a leader. Every rank in ASME has its own charm and excitement. I represented ASME UET in a national level event in my 2nd year, since then my journey has been very rewarding and equally challenging. I have had the fortune of representing ASME outside Pakistan with a 4

member team from ASME UET. With all the projects, events, national and international level exposures, ASME has really played a major part in all the interviews i have cleared. It has provided me with Travel Opportunities, Networking, ME Magazine, ASME E-Library, E-Mentoring, Scholarships and much more. And the best thing of all is that its been FUN."
